As Monica Rucki was graduating from engineering school she was torn between getting a stable job or working on the pressing global issues she cared about. Unsure if just one person could have any impact, she picked the more uncertain route. As she carved her career path—finding ways to combat poverty and economic development in Sub-Saharan Africa by leveraging technology—she learned some important lessons along the way.
Today as a Product Manager at Google, focused on Africa and the Next Billion Users, she reflects on the transformational moments in her life and career. She’ll share the incredible amplification effect of technology, and how we can all act as levers, overcoming our limits to create the change we want to see in the world.
On October 1st Monica will be at TEDxUNebrija to share her ideas.
